Selena Wang 38th Lorne Cancer Conference 2026

Selena Wang

I’m a third-year PhD student at the University of Otago, researching how Y-box binding protein 1 (YB-1) over-expression drives chromosomal instability (CIN) and tumour evolution in cancers. My work combines molecular biology, live-cell imaging, and high-throughput sequencing with bioinformatics approaches to uncover mechanisms of cancer progression and therapy resistance. I’m broadly interested in cancer genomics and evolution, and I’m keen to explore postdoctoral opportunities and collaborations that build on this expertise.
